Yes, Elounda Maris Villas is open throughout the whole year.
Elounda Maris Villas is situated in a quiet environment and is within walking distance of fisherman’s village Plaka.
We accept all currencies and all major credit cards. We gladly accept your foreign currency exchange at official bank rates.
We do have a lovely garden with local trees and herbs and grass for the kids to play on.
The community of Elounda belongs to the municipality of Agios Nikolaos and constitutes of six settlements: Plaka where the villas are , Tsifliki, Pano Pines, Kato Pines, Epano Elounda, Schisma and Mavrikiano. It has a population of around 2,200 and covers a surface area of about 25 sqkm.
Power supply in Greece / Crete is 220V. Sockets accept two-round pin plugs. Adaptors are readily available at any supermarket, or just ask our staff to help you out. Power cuts happen occasionally, especially in summertime, due to strained generating capacity.
Crete, like the rest of Greece, is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich time (GMT +2) and adjusts to summertime at 4am on the last Sunday in March until 4am on the last Sunday in October.
Bus services are operated by the KTEL cooperative and buses are new, frequent and comfortable.
The villas are a 2 minutes’ stroll from the central beach strip and the Plaka settlement, where you can find shops, cafes and fish taverns. The centre of Elounda is within easy reach (about 4.5km).
Cosmopolitan harbour town Agios Nikolaos is some 11km southwards.
Yes, there are Car and bike rentals in the area, or, if you wish, we can arrange a car / bike for you.
Check in is at 15.00pm. and check-out is at 11.30am. A late check-out can be arranged on request upon availability.
The staff is Greek and English speaking.
Yes, the complex has a private parking space.
Yes, there are excellent English speaking doctors.
Yes, a bus stop as well as a taxi stand is nearby (5 minutes by foot).
Yes, tap water is safe to drink in Crete, but bottled water is generally preferred.
Shop opening hours vary, but are usually from 9am 2pm and 5 10pm daily in summertime. Banks and post office are open Mon Fri from 08.00 14.00 hours.
