Elounda Maris Villas is situated in a quiet environment and is within walking distance of fisherman’s village Plaka.
What languages does the staff speak?
The staff is Greek and English speaking.
What time is check in / out?
Check in is at 15.00pm. and check-out is at 11.30am. A late check-out can be arranged on request upon availability.
Which currencies do you accept?
We accept all currencies and all major credit cards. We gladly accept your foreign currency exchange at official bank rates.
Does Elounda Maris Villas provide parking space?
Yes, the complex has a private parking space.
Does it have a garden?
We do have a lovely garden with local trees and herbs and grass for the kids to play on.
Are pets allowed?
Sorry, but pets are not welcome on the hotel premises. Personally we have nothing against them, but not all guests are charmed by pets.
Is Elounda Maris Villas accessible for guests with a kinetic disability?
Unfortunately the premises are on an uneven surface and the villas are multi levelled.
In case of emergency, can I consult an English speaking doctor?
Yes, there are excellent English speaking doctors.
How big is Elounda and its population?
The community of Elounda belongs to the municipality of Agios Nikolaos and constitutes of six settlements: Plaka - where the villas are -, Tsifliki, Pano Pines, Kato Pines, Epano Elounda, Schisma and Mavrikiano. It has a population of around 2,200 and covers a surface area of about 25 sqkm.
Are a bus stop / taxi stand nearby?
Yes, a bus stop as well as a taxi stand is nearby (5 minutes by foot).
Is tap water safe to drink?
Yes, tap water is safe to drink in Crete, but bottled water is generally preferred.
What power supply do you have?
Power supply in Greece / Crete is 220V. Sockets accept two-round pin plugs. Adaptors are readily available at any supermarket, or just ask our staff to help you out. Power cuts happen occasionally, especially in summertime, due to strained generating capacity.
What time zone does Crete have?
Crete, like the rest of Greece, is 2 hours ahead of Greenwich time (GMT +2) and adjusts to summertime at 4am on the last Sunday in March until 4am on the last Sunday in October.
What are the shop opening hours?
Shop opening hours vary, but are usually from 9am – 2pm and 5 – 10pm daily in summertime. Banks and post office are open Mon – Fri from 08.00 – 14.00 hours.
How frequent are the local bus services?
Bus services are operated by the KTEL cooperative and buses are new, frequent and comfortable.

What climate do you have?
Crete has a Mediterranean climate with warm, dry summers and mild, wet winters.
How far is Elounda Maris Villas to the city centre and to the beach?
The villas are a 2 minutes’ stroll from the central beach strip and the Plaka settlement, where you can find shops, cafes and fish taverns. The centre of Elounda is within easy reach (about 4.5km).
How far is it to Agios Nikolaos?
Cosmopolitan harbour town Agios Nikolaos is some 11km southwards.
Can I have access to the Internet?
Yes, Elounda Maris Villas provides (central) Internet access.
Can I rent a car or bike?
Yes, there are Car and bike rentals in the area, or, if you wish, we can arrange a car / bike for you.
